There are six new pieces on the Widget - Salary Three, Fomo Derry, Pikemen, Three Gross Tin, Fraction and Register Standard. There are several more tunes ready to be posted as well. Last night on R3 they played Webern's arrangement of some Schubert Dances and Berg's Violin Concerto. The concerto is a stunning piece - so strange to think that it was written at the same time that he was working on Lulu.

Two books ordered at different times have arrived. I have been waiting for Gracyk's Led Zeppelin book for a few weeks. I thought it would be easy to read but in fact it is rigorous philosophy and requires very direct attention. The point of the book is to show that listening to Led Zeppelin can be an aesthetic experience but - and is this is a big point - this does not mean that you are committed to saying LZ are art music. I am hoping that reading this will give me some ideas about how to develop the SW project.

Today Boutang's book on Cognitive Capitalism arrived along with a lot of e-material about trends in 2013 in HR, technology etc. I mailed a lot of this stuff onto contacts and Karol has already replied. Boutang is about my age and originally wrote in French but this is how a lot of the more provocative material in this field is produced.
