England was so mysterious this morning. I drove past the Banbury cross then up over the Cotswolds palteau and there on the edge of the Cherwell Valley was my destination - a glorious Edwardian country house. Good meeting - then back across the plateau and up the M40 to a house built a decade later in the Forest of Arden.

On the BBC Radio 2 website is a programme about about R Carpenter and arranging - I think it actually says somewhere parallel secondary sevenths with a second between middle parts - all triple tracked. Made me start work on Rainy Days and Sundays.

The Japanese LP is going direct into the desk - and then into the 6 band graph with some uplift on the top 2 bands. The interesting thing is what happens when I use the top cut on the guitar - some really interesting character begins to emerge in the middle. I would never have got to that directly in a million years.

Found a Wire in Leamington - very enthusiastic review of the recreation of Forever Changes in London - A Lee finally confirmed as a genius! Hooray - maybe someone will discover Four Sale one of these decades - esp the song about the dream.

Hooray for the Virginian Senator
