Yvonne graduated a masters degree at Barbican today. James went with her. Sounds like they had a good time. I planned to go but the constraints at this end prevailed. At least I got some good results for my time.

We looked at a third company on our procurement procurement who came through with a strong presentation. Its always interesting when your preconceptions are displaced in an interview presentation . Thats what happened to day. Both Peter the procurement specialist and I were very impressed. In fact I thought I might get some of the product for myself on the firm

I also chaired the board of the Automotive College deputising for Keith who is convalescing after an operation at the week-end. I enjoyed doing that and went spent a lot of time working on the links between the Automotive College and the Automotive Academy. A lot of good avenues for investigation came out of the debate. Alan Coombes from Hertfordshire U was there he is MD-ing a big concert to raise funds for a project in Mozambique. I havent heard him but I think that both he and his wife are excellent brass players. Peter Chatterton is also on the board and he and I found the time to catch on various points.

I had spoken to Robert Cotton at the weekend about his visit to the Highveld and the possibility of equipping him with a digital camera which he might leave with the team there. Peter has been looking at what spec might be suitable. We were kicking an idea around of 2004 calendar of shots using this camera maybe of the clients at KK maybe tied into the lullabyes CD promoted through the L-concert. He had bought a magazine on digicams and as luck would have it it had an African documentary feature. I took a photocopy to send to Robert. We got to the point that the KK clients arent here for long and that recording their presence had an amazing potency. See the KK feature about the longest living AIDS orphan.

We also talked about the Indian material coming through from Yahoo which I have been putting up on www.kwase-kwaza.org - its interactive and urgent quality basically the thought is that its now or never. We began to play with an idea of linking new artists in the West with new projects on the subcontinent. We decided to sketch a possible communication to this end

He and Tricia are working on another project which is a cross-over of something that Peter pulled off in Latvia to the SA situation.

I checked that Peter had the material on 10 Shortstories and 4 Fifths he said yes he was under pressure for a project with the Merseyside Automotive Group and as soon as that was knocked off he would upgrade the site. I mailed Paul W the first draft of the Lullabye and also an implementation of his SS words as a CD cover sheet. This is taking time but we will be there soon.
