On the lower widget there is a new tune - Age the Brandy. Still tingling. The Move are on BBC4 - I think I was present at their infamous festival appearance.

I managed to get to Cafe Polsk on Saturday evening to hear the blues with Steff. John B Harris played solo boogie piano - very nicely including some New Orleans piano. He included St James Infirmary which I had heard on Monster on the way there.

The main act was Fran McGillivary and Mike Burke. We thought they sounded best when they teamed up with JBH for two numbers at the end which allowed MB to display his considerable talent.

I bought Bartok's SQ 1 and 2. Some say no 1 shows too much influence of Ravel but I dont think so. It is great.

I have also been listening to Nathan Haines Right Now which made me think of Thievery Corporation and so I have bought their breakthrough album from 2000.
