In the evening there was a concert of Brahms, Seaman and Rutter. The first Brahms piece, Nanie, most appealed to me, the Schiksalslied less so and the Tragic Overture hardly at all. The Seaman pieces were extracts from an opera on spiritual themes which is yet to be performed in total. The Rutter was his Gloria which is a break through piece from 1974 which I rather liked.
Yesterday snow arrived and it was still on the hilltops today. Cod Secretariat and Leon Slump are new on the Widget.
