Ciaran Doran mailed about his website for the Race Against Time its at

The links through to the Charities online donation service arent quite ready yet but when that is up and running we need to look seriously at whether we can take that feature onto the KK site.

Its a disgrace but I dont practice the flute very much. Except I have in the last few days. I am working on a performance concept for solo flute based on different styles of blues line including a BB King line, Relaxin at the Camarillo and West End Blues all of which I committed to memory years ago. Its really just a matter of dusting down the memories and really hammering into the fingers. In fact I am toying with some other remembered lines like Donna Lee and Joyspring. At the moment part of the appeal of practising the flute arises from the idea that was put in my head when I started to play it that practice has health benefits its a kind of exercise

Ruth and Stuart came over for lunch with their two dogs. As usual we met in the Chantries and walked up the hill and round out of the wood to the grassland area with fine views to the south and west. There was a good view of the Wey Valley round by Charterhouse it made me wonder if there river was really at the join between the Upper and Lower Greensand.

I gave R&S a copy of 10ss plus Paul Wheelers words plus the 7500 words of Slightly All the Time. Stuart said that the episode which first alerted to the blues was hearing Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee on BBC TV. He went to the same school that Brian Jones went to in Cheltenham he once had a geography text book that had BJs name in it.

Jake was rather taken with Zsu-Zsa R&Ss Polish hunting dog completely undeterred by her size several times larger than himself. Its a dogs life.
